  • What does neuroscience have to do with relationships?
That is the ultimate question behind this website and the course for couples, ‘Profound Partnerships’. Neuroscience is a complex study of subjects relating to our system’s biology, psychology, and chemistry – the brain’s functions, malfunctions, and how it can be altered. It strives for deeper understanding of how the brain’s billions of nerve cells are born, grow, connect, and organize themselves into effective, functional circuits that send signals to every area of the body. We will be focusing on the specific science of neuro-psychology. Neuro-psychology is the relationship between the nervous system, sense, memory, learning, emotional response, behavior, and thinking. Relationships are, and have always been at the core of our lives. Nothing stirs the emotions like matters of love and romance, or the opposite issues of conflict and misunderstandings. Scientific literature is the best place to look for answers to serious questions or to understand something better. Science and research are continually evolving, so it’s important to stay informed with new findings. Relationships change in their expressions of love. Those expressions need to always be active and continually shown in creative ways. If one or both partners get too comfortable doing the bare minimum to nurture the other’s love, one or both partners will soon feel cheated. Neuropsychology has a wealth of practical strategies that couples and individuals can use to maintain a healthy mindset and to help understand how their words and behaviors affect each other. I will always research and read the most current studies, so that I can pass on to you the many practices that will help you function and grow to your desired best, both individually and together.
  • How do values affect a relationship?
Think of what you value most about being in a relationship. What single words come to mind? Write them on a piece of paper so you can see them. Those words are your personal code of beliefs. If what you value most about being together is not being shown to you or is being disrespected or violated, it would jeopardize or fail the relationship. Your values are what make you, you. Your values are formulated from early life and practiced over a life time. Your values can change. Your value words may change daily depending on what's important to you at that time. Share your 'word for the day' with each other. (Maybe a post-it note on the refrigerator.) You and your partner may have different value words that relate to what's important. Knowing each other's value words regarding relationships should be a first step in getting to know each other. For example, his word may be 'respect' and hers may be 'patience'. Once you know each other's value needs, your language together will change. When you keep each other's value words in mind before you start a conversation, your brain will search for words that support their needs. Voila! You have just spoken to each other with compassion, and shown respect for your union and individuality. You now have the magic formula to a fulfilling life of loving kindness. So ... can you see how knowing each other's values can transform your partnership for the better? Test this out for yourself, and observe how cared-for you feel.
  • Is there actually a science related to love?
https://theanatomyoflove.com/blog/videos/quick-summary-2/ VTA (Ventral Tegmental Area) is a tiny reward processing area of the brain, and is one of the most primitive parts. VTA was proven to be a human drive. It is important in thinking, motivation, orgasm, cravings, and intense emotions relating to love. So yes indeed, there is a mountain of research and experimentation that shows how our biology affects our personalities, choices, and behavior. Understanding more about the biology relating to yourself and your partners personality will help you decide on the merit of your lasting compatibility.
  • What is compassionate-communication?
Compassionate-communication is a values based communication that you practice with your partner. When you keep each other’s value words in mind before you start a conversation, your brain will search for words that support your partner's needs. Caring about what's important to the one you love, and showing it with words and actions, will keep you loved deeply. You will have spoken to each other with compassion because you genuinely care to. That show of respect for your deepest needs and individuality runs deep and wide in our heart of hearts. Compassionate-communication is loving kindness at its very best. You'll learn how to practice this form of communication together in my course, 'Profound Partnerships'.
  • Can the course be used for the churches requirement: Relationship / Marriage preparation?
Yes, absolutely. All we had to do is show how we interacted with each other and resolved our conflicts with this course. Religious leaders are in favor of a couple using a comprehensive resource to better their understanding of each other, gain respect for their values, and grow in their beliefs. You can also talk with your religious leader about it and any subject that needs further counsel.

DMCA Provisions The Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998, found at 17 U.S.C. § 512 (“DMCA”), provides recourse for owners of copyrighted materials who believe that their rights under United States copyright law have been infringed upon on the Internet. Under the DMCA, the bona fide owner of copyrighted materials who has a good faith belief that their copyright has been infringed may contact not only the person or entity infringing on their copyright, but may also contact the designated agent of an Internet Service Provider (“ISP”) to report the alleged infringements of protected works, when such alleged infringements appear on pages contained within the system of the Internet Service Provider. Upon receipt of a properly filed complaint under the DMCA, the owner and/or the ISP of this website will block access to the allegedly infringing material. The website owner and/or the ISP will forward a copy of the notification of claimed copyright infringement to the alleged infringer. Anyone who believes in good faith that a notice of copyright infringement has wrongfully been filed against them may submit a Counter-notice to the website owner and/or the ISP. The owner of this website and the ISP are committed to complying with international trade law, international trade practices, and all United States laws, including United States copyright law. Notification of Claimed Copyright Infringement For details on the information required by law for valid notification, see 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). To file a notice of infringement with either the website owner or the ISP, you must provide a written communication that sets forth the items specified below. You will be liable for damages (including damages, costs, and attorneys’ fees) if you materially misrepresent that the website or a web page is infringing your copyright. If you are not certain whether copyright laws protect certain material of yours, we suggest that you first contact an attorney. Please send DMCA notifications of claimed copyright infringement to support@ProfoundPartnerships.com To expedite our ability to process your request, please use the following format (including section numbers): 1. Identify in detail the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed upon. 2. Identify the material that you claim is infringing the copyrighted work listed in #1 above. You must include the URL(s) (i/e/ the locations of the page or pages that contain the alleged infringing material. You must also include a description of the specific content which you claim is infringing on your copyright. 3. Provide information reasonably sufficient to permit the website owner to contact you. At a minimum an email address and a phone number are required. 4. Include the following statement: "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed. I also affirm that as the copyright owner, I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by me, my agent, or the law." 5. The signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner must be included. You may send your notice via email provided such notice includes a proper electronic signature. The signature or electronic signature must be that of the copyright owner, or a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of an exclusive copyright that has allegedly been infringed. Counter-notification to Claimed Copyright Infringement Please be advised that United States copyright law provides substantial penalties for a false counter notice filed in response to a notice of copyright infringement. Accordingly, if you are not sure whether copyright laws protect certain material of yours, we suggest that you first contact an attorney for a professional legal opinion. If a notice of copyright infringement has been filed with the website owner and/or the ISP against you, the owner and/or the ISP will attempt to notify you and provide you with a copy of the notice of copyright infringement. If you have a good faith belief that you have been wrongfully accused, you may file a counter-notification with the website owner and/or the ISP. If the website owner and/or the ISP receives a valid counter-notification, the DMCA provides that the removed or blocked information will be restored or access will be re-enabled. The website owner and/or the ISP will replace the removed material and cease disabling access to it in not less than 10, nor more than 14, business days following receipt of the counter-notification, unless the website owner and/or ISP first receives notice from the complaining party that such complaining party has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the alleged infringer from engaging in infringing activity relating to the material on this website. Anti-Spam: Here at Profound Partnerships, we dislike unsolicited commercial email (UCE), otherwise known as spam or junk email, as much as you do. Maybe more, since our team gets lots of emails every day and there's no bigger waste of time than deleting all that junk! We consider spam to be an offense and disservice to the entire Internet community. This is why we fully endorse and comply with all the requirements of the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act). We also comply with all other applicable unsolicited commercial email laws. How does this affect you? When you subscribe to our digital/electronic newsletters or other online communications from us and through our website, we always give you the option to unsubscribe. You can do that immediately, or you can do that any time in the future simply by clicking a link in the email you receive from us. (Of course, if you send us a support email, an email about billing, or any other individualized email, we will naturally respond personally.) If you have questions, concerns or feedback about this anti-spam policy, ask. Send an email to support@ProfoundPartnerships.com and let us know what's on your mind. Refund Policy: How Refunds Work Each Profound Partnerships course comes with its refund policy. Depending on the course you purchased you may request a refund in a 30, 60, or 90-day time frame. Some courses come with a NO REFUND policy. The refund period starts from the day you purchased the product unless otherwise specified. Any and all physical materials you might have received, such as physical books, DVDs, CDs and the link, need to be returned to us for your refund to be processed. Of course, digital products you've downloaded cannot be "returned" to us, so we trust you to not re-sell or otherwise re-distribute those files. Also if you get a refund but continue to use a product you purchased from us it is a violation of intellectual property rights laws (in other words, it's stealing, and that's not right). SMS Privacy Policy: Profound Partnerships offers subscription text message programs. Customers may voluntarily enroll themselves in a text message alert program. You will be enrolled in a "mailing list" when you subscribe to this service. Message frequency varies. Profound Partnerships is committed to building user trust and confidence by promoting and complying with the use of business practices that help protect the privacy of the customer and their data. By providing your consent to participate in this program, you approve any such charges from your mobile carrier. Charges for text messages may appear on your mobile phone bill or be deducted from your prepaid balance. Profound Partnerships reserves the right to terminate this SMS service, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. The information in any message may be subject to certain time lags and/or delays. You are responsible for managing the types of SMS texts you receive. To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any message received from Profound Partnerships. By enrolling in this subscription program, you consent that following such a request to unsubscribe; you will receive one (1) final message from Profound Partnerships confirming that you have been inactivated in our system. Following such confirmation message, no additional text messages will be sent unless you re-activate your subscription. Profound Partnerships may use an automatic dialing system to deliver text messages to you. The Federal Communications Commission defines an "automatic telephone dialing system" or auto dialer as equipment that can store or produce telephone numbers to be called. By your subscription to either, or both, the one-time text message program or the subscription text message program, you give your consent to Profound Partnerships to use an automatic dialing system to deliver text messages to the telephone or cell phone number to which you have directed Profound Partnerships to transmit these text messages. <h5 class="font_5">United States Participating Carriers May Include But Are Not Limited To</h5> ACS/Alaska, Alltel, AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Boost, Cellcom, Cellone Nation, Cellular One of East Central Illinois, Cellular South, Centennial, Chariton Valley Cellular, Cincinnati Bell, Cox Communications, Cricket, EKN/Appalachian Wireless, Element Mobile, GCI, Golden State Cellular, Illinois Valley Cellular, Immix/Keystone Wireless, Inland Cellular, iWireless, Metro PCS, Nex-Tech Wireless, nTelos, Plateau Wireless, South Canaan, Sprint, T-Mobile, Thumb Cellular, United Wireless, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless, Viaero Wireless, Virgin, WCC.
